The launch of the first online sportsbook in the state of Pennsylvania happened in May 2019. Online sports betting is also legal in Pennsylvania, and most of the land-based sportsbooks accepting bets in the state are in the process of developing apps and mobile sites to allow betting on computers and mobile devices.
There are currently 10 land-based sportsbooks where you can place a bet in person in Pennsylvania, 6 of which are located in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania became the seventh state to introduce legalized sports betting following the landmark US Supreme Court decision of 2018 we’ll get into in more detail later in this guide.
